Foodtalk on Newstalk

A Drumms Blog Article

Neil Clancy of Soundsdoable (an independent radio production company)  asked me to take part in FoodTalk.  A show for Newstalk about food and the people who produce, harvest, rear, cook and eat it!  I was asked to do the 'Wild Food' element of the series, and was only delighted to rabbit (excuse the pun) on about the delights of foraging for the likes of Cluaisins, Wild Mushrooms, Sorrel and Berries.  The show hosted by the lovely Caroline Henessy and the indefatiguable Kevin Thornton.  Soundsdoable officially launched Food Talk last Monday night in Kevin's restaurant, but I missed it as I was in France with a group of journalists from Ireland, (more of that again).  I was very disappointed to miss the launch, which I understand, was an absolute feast.  The programme launches on Christmas Day, so listen in to the foodie equivalent of the Queen's Speech!  (Mine is on Jan 18th!)
