Viking Cutlery is crafted in Solingen, Germany, using old-world standards.  Each knife is forged and ground from one piece of steel that is rust and stain resistant.  The blades are made of a combination of high carbon-chromium-vanadium stainless steel.  This very sharp alloy produces an extremely sharp blade and alows the knife to maintain it's sharpness.  It is also extremely hard wearing.  Part of the blade is integrated into the handle, making the knife more robust and perfectly balanced, which makes cutting and carving so much easier.  We recommend that knives be washed by hand.
